Android Developer

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for an Android Developer to join its digital and software technology team in Mexico. You will work on innovative mobile projects that support a wide range of industries, from autonomous vehicles to healthcare robotics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Integrate internal and external REST APIs and ensure reliable data exchange.
• Implement UI components such as Activities, Fragments, and ViewModel following Android SDK best practices.
• Write unit tests and participate in CI/CD pipelines to guarantee code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.
• Maintain and query PostgreSQL databases where required.

Required profile

• Experience developing mobile applications on Android.
• Strong knowledge of REST API integration.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and Git version control.
• Familiarity with Android SDK components, UI design, Activities, Fragments and ViewModel.
• Understanding of SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with unit testing, CI/CD processes, and Agile methodologies.
