APU Quality Engineer

About the role

Valeo is looking for an APU Quality Engineer to support the APU managers and site manager in handling quality issues, driving containment actions, and ensuring product compliance with customer and internal standards. You will act as the customer’s voice within Valeo on quality matters and have the authority to stop production when standards are not met.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate QRQC processes in the QIM database and validate containment robustness.
• Support analysis of issues assigned during QRQC activities.
• Maintain APU quality tracking charts such as Customer Returns and Cost of Non‑Quality.
• Perform line audits to detect non‑conformities and define corrective actions.
• Participate in eradication of customer and non‑quality issues.
• Ensure QRQC meeting rules are respected, applying “Stop at first disagree” and “Stop at first no”.
• Revise control plans after issues and verify 4M matrix compliance for product or process changes.
• Update quality documents following process‑related changes.
• Verify continuous process conformance to specifications through machine capability studies and yearly product audits.
• Represent the customer within Valeo on quality communications and escalations.
• Manage PD, CA and closure for internal supplier incidents.

Required profile

• Authority to stop a manufacturing or assembly line when safety or quality risks are identified.
• Experience in conducting audits and managing quality tracking data.
• Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
