Costing Engineer / Program Controller

About the role

Yanfeng Seating is seeking a Costing Engineer / Program Controller to join its facility in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León. The role will oversee the financial performance of complex automotive interior programs from initiation through series production, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Business Plan for each nominated program, updating cost data promptly.
• Prepare and manage capital authorization requests, tooling authorizations, financial panels and sign‑offs in line with YF ISO requirements.
• Track capital, tooling, launch and R&D costs throughout the development lifecycle.
• Analyze product cost changes resulting from design modifications, value engineering or value analysis and coordinate target‑cost confirmation across departments.
• Communicate cost variations, maintain the program financial roadmap, and drive updates to keep projects on track.
• Produce monthly financial status reports, maintain an open‑issue list and present findings in program reviews.
• Ensure financial performance complies with management expectations during the SOP phase.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum three years of experience as a Cost Engineer, Program Controller or Sales Engineer in the automotive industry.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Ability to prepare financial documentation and reports.
