Elementary Teacher

About the role

The Elementary Teacher is responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction to young learners, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth. You will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom where every child can thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver age‑appropriate lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that meets diverse learning needs.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to support different learning styles.
• Assess, record, and report student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Establish classroom routines that promote respect, responsibility, and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership to enhance the educational experience.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent‑teacher conferences, and school events.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support student well‑being.
• Identify and respond to individual needs, including special educational needs.
• Integrate technology and digital tools to enrich learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or licensure for the relevant jurisdiction.
• Previous experience teaching elementary‑aged children (1–3 years or more).
• Experience working with diverse student backgrounds and abilities.
• Familiarity with curriculum standards and assessment practices.
