Head of Production

About the role

Brose Group is seeking a Head of Production to lead manufacturing operations, ensure capacity alignment with market demand, and drive continuous improvement across its production facilities. This senior position reports directly to senior management and plays a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality automotive components on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Approve manufacturing plans and budgets, aligning capacity, equipment, and labor with forecasted market needs.
• Verify production compliance, optimize waste, downtime, and inventory, and meet delivery dates.
• Monitor safety, quality, and performance indicators for pre‑production and final assembly.
• Oversee production and unit costs, implement cost‑reduction initiatives with managers, suppliers, and customers.
• Resolve production issues, coordinate with internal departments, and ensure minimal disruption to customer deliveries.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and promote a safe work environment.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects to optimize equipment and processes.
• Recruit, train, and develop the production team, expanding its size and capabilities.
• Design methods to increase production levels while improving cost, yield, quality, and safety.
• Manage environmental aspects in compliance with Brose standards and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years in a similar production leadership role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of productivity systems.
• Experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Production Flow Management (PFM).
• Effective communication skills and fluency in English.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
