Junior Project Engineer – Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support order‑specific design of liquid ring vacuum pumps, compressors and complete system packages. You will work closely with engineering teams in Itzehoe and Guelph to deliver engineered‑to‑order solutions that meet global standards and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt standard pump designs to meet specific order requirements.
• Manage engineered‑to‑order (ETO) orders, performing risk analysis, design reviews and conformity assessments.
• Create and review engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, isometric pipe drawings and BOMs.
• Apply relevant directives (Machinery, PED, ATEX) and international standards (ASME, NEC, API) in design work.
• Perform calculations for optimal component design and select valves, instruments, and piping for procurement.
• Generate product documentation, SAP master data, and manufacturing instructions.
• Provide technical support for supplier qualifications, production issues and quality assurance.
• Review cost and delivery impacts of scope changes and collaborate with BU and GTEC engineers to improve customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Engineering mindset with ability to work across multiple sites.
• Familiarity with machinery, pressure equipment and ATEX directives.
• Knowledge of ASME, NEC and API standards.
• Experience in risk analysis, design review and conformity assessment.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to manage SAP master data.
