Legal Compliance Analyst – KYC

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Legal Compliance Analyst focused on KYC to ensure that customer onboarding and ongoing due diligence meet Mexican AML/CFT regulations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to embed compliance controls into our payment services.

Key responsibilities

• Validate onboarding documents and assess risk for Electronic Payments Funds Institutions (IFPEs) in Mexico, ensuring compliance with AML/CFT and local financial regulations.
• Support customer due‑diligence policies, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate with stakeholders to complete required checks.
• Assist with sanction‑screening policies, applying relevant regulations, industry guidance, and company standards.
• Help develop and maintain compliance policies and departmental procedures.
• Respond to compliance queries from other business areas and escalate issues when needed.
• Review new products for AML and sanctions risk, recommending appropriate controls.
• Prepare internal reports for senior management and monitor regulatory changes.
• Communicate regulatory updates to relevant business units and support implementation of changes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of AML, KYC processes and sanctions regulations.
• Experience in compliance within the financial services sector.
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical operational procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting corporate legal documents and public deeds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
