Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator ensures the effective distribution of freight to customers using approved service providers, meeting on‑time and damage‑free service level requirements while controlling costs. This role coordinates supply‑chain activities, optimises logistics processes and supports the overall efficiency of the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve effective distribution of customer freight through approved providers, meeting service level targets and competitive costs.
• Coordinate and monitor supply‑chain operations and ensure optimal use of premises, assets and communication channels.
• Utilise logistics IT systems to optimise procedures.
• Recruit and schedule logistics staff such as truck drivers based on availability and requirements.
• Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to meet production needs.
• Communicate with suppliers, retailers and customers to secure profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
• Plan and track shipment of final products according to customer specifications.
• Maintain logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders and related activities.
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a logistics coordinator.
• Experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple processes.
• Outstanding organisational and coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
