Mainframe Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Mainframe Developer to join our team in Toluca, Mexico. The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining regulatory processes for a financial institution’s payments area, with an emphasis on batch optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL and DB2.
• Develop, schedule and optimise complex batch processes and manage data files.
• Use version control (Endeavor) and scheduling tools (TWS, Control‑M) for process programming.
• Implement online transaction services using CICS and MQSeries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, following agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and maintain clear communication.
• Identify and resolve technical issues proactively.

Required profile

• Solid experience in mainframe development and operations.
• Familiarity with the financial/banking sector is a plus.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (3 days on‑site).
