Medical Information Specialist – LATAM (Mexico City)

About the role

The Medical Information Specialist (MIS) supports patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals across Latin America by providing accurate, compliant information about Pfizer’s product portfolio. Working from Mexico City, the MIS handles inquiries in both Spanish and English, ensuring high‑quality, empathetic responses that meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and respond to medical information inquiries through all MI channels, adhering to global and local regulatory guidelines.
• Research, draft and document responses using approved resources such as response documents, product labels, and FAQs.
• Escalate complex queries when approved resources are unavailable and coordinate with internal stakeholders for resolution.
• Maintain and update standard resources (FAQs, package inserts, product availability information) for the LATAM Medical Information Contact Center.
• Contribute to process improvement, resource harmonisation and regional medical information projects.
• Support training, oversight and development activities for the MI team.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines and approved medical information resources.
• Excellent written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to handle both technical and non‑technical inquiries.
• Proactive attitude toward process optimisation and teamwork.

Required skills

• Fluency in Spanish and English (written).
• Familiarity with medical information databases and content management systems.
