Medical Science Liaison – Hematology

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Hematology will advance scientific knowledge and standards of care for patients, healthcare providers, and payers. You will act as a trusted scientific partner, ensuring that AbbVie’s hematology products are used safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain credible relationships with key opinion leaders and external experts in hematology.
• Facilitate research and educational initiatives at academic centers, supporting requests for medical and scientific information.
• Provide scientific updates and training to internal sales, marketing, and brand teams.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with other field members while maintaining functional independence.
• Assist in the initiation, oversight, and follow‑up of post‑marketing clinical studies, registries, epidemiological surveys, and Phase IV projects, ensuring compliance with local laws, guidelines, and AbbVie SOPs.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline preferred; relevant undergraduate degree with experience also considered.
• Demonstrated experience in medical research and maintaining expert knowledge in hematology/hemato‑oncology.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs.
• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
