Operations Superintendent

About the role

Airswift is seeking an Operations Superintendent to lead on‑shore and off‑shore drilling projects for a permanent client in Villahermosa, Tabasco. The role oversees the full drilling lifecycle, from program design to execution, ensuring technical, safety and financial objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate detailed drilling programs, integrating multidisciplinary engineering inputs.
• Analyze well designs, hydraulics, torque‑and‑drag, and performance data to optimise drilling operations.
• Select and validate drilling heads, perforation trays and well‑termination strategies based on geological and fluid characteristics.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Communication Protocol, QHSE processes, Management of Change (MoC) and Hazard Analysis & Risk Control (HARC).
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Company Man, DOE and service providers to manage change, risk and daily execution plans.
• Maintain direct communication with Operations and Engineering sub‑directorates for performance monitoring and reporting.

Required profile

• Senior specialist with extensive experience in well design, unconventional, HP‑HT and high‑complexity wells.
• Proven ability to evaluate drilling designs, performance margins and re‑engineer solutions during operations.
• Strong understanding of geological data, nodal analysis and well‑productivity assessment.
• Excellent coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
