Packaging Design and Development Engineer

About the role

Join Bosch's Toluca plant to design, develop and validate packaging solutions for both finished products and raw materials. You will ensure that packaging meets customer and supplier requirements while supporting efficient logistics and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate packaging for finished products and raw materials.
• Create and manage ECRs, TCMs, drawings, BPDS, packing sheets, and packaging control files.
• Develop and apply label designs and barcode solutions according to client specifications.
• Perform returnable loopback calculations and issue EBP requests for purchase.
• Coordinate with outsourcing partners for tracking, cleaning, assembly and delivery of packaging.
• Maintain packaging data in client systems (e.g., Lison, Covisint) and follow up on reconciliations.
• Prepare packaging proposals, generate drawings/sketches, and request quotes and purchase samples.
• Capture packaging information in SAP modules (GOOD, MM, ZDUN, ZREV).
• Develop supplier specification guides and support packaging component suppliers.
• Optimize packaging according to BPS concepts and verify proper management in client systems.

Required profile

• Graphic Design or Industrial Design degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in packaging design.
• Strong customer service orientation, analytical thinking and proactive teamwork.

• ECR (Engineering Change Request) management
• TCM (Technical Change Management) handling
• BPDS (Packaging Design Specification) creation
