Product Counsel – Legal Analyst for Crypto Products

About the role

We are seeking a Product Counsel to join Bitso’s Retail product team. The legal analyst will enable the launch and scaling of user‑facing crypto products by delivering clear, practical legal guidance that aligns with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate agreements with vendors, partners and clients, ensuring consistency with Bitso’s standards and risk appetite.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal support to product teams, reviewing features, user flows and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Analyze regulatory requirements for new and existing products, identify risks and help implement compliant solutions.
• Create and maintain legal templates and user‑facing documents such as terms & conditions and disclosures.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations and Commercial teams to unblock initiatives and ensure timely legal input.
• Manage inbound legal requests through internal ticketing systems, delivering timely responses.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating various agreements, including terms & conditions and financial services contracts.
• General knowledge of fintech, payments or cryptocurrency regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML/KYC, consumer protection).
• Strong analytical ability to spot legal risks and gaps.
• Experience supporting product or business teams in fast‑paced, tech‑driven environments.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple legal requests simultaneously.
• Familiarity with internal workflows or ticketing systems such as Zendesk.
• High attention to detail and ownership mindset.
