Project Associate – Internal Displacement Programs

About the role

The Project Associate will support IOM’s efforts to prevent, address and resolve internal displacement in Mexico. Working closely with government partners, UN agencies, NGOs and affected communities, the role contributes to the design, implementation and monitoring of durable‑solution initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of internal displacement projects funded by various donors, including the Internal Displacement Solutions Fund.
• Support monitoring, data collection and reporting activities to ensure compliance with donor requirements and IOM policies.
• Coordinate with government counterparts, UN agencies, academia and civil‑society partners to facilitate project delivery.
• Contribute to evidence generation, policy development and capacity‑building activities.
• Maintain project documentation, track results and help prepare regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in international development, humanitarian assistance or related fields.
• Experience working in project coordination, monitoring or reporting in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
