Project Manager (P1) – Automotive

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Project Manager (P1) to lead OEM/OES projects within its automotive division. The role involves overseeing project profitability, quality, and production preparation while ensuring alignment with Valeo’s green mobility vision.

Key responsibilities

• Operationally and functionally manage assigned projects, covering components and systems with known technology.
• Achieve project KPIs related to profitability, quality, and production readiness.
• Secure and control project resources, and drive associated P2 actors when needed.
• Resolve project issues through escalation and coordinate support from all relevant functions.
• Validate team activities, propose timing scenarios, and ensure milestone achievement.
• Define project scope, budget, and manage all internal and customer‑driven changes.
• Prepare and submit CAA and IAR documents, and apply Design‑to‑Cost methodology.
• Lead communication with customers, keep them updated on progress, and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Promote Valeo values, ethics, health‑safety standards, and ensure compliance with corporate processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing OEM/OES automotive projects.
• Strong ability to meet profitability, quality, and schedule targets.
• Excellent resource planning and escalation management skills.
• Capability to prepare decision‑making documents for committees.
• Good understanding of Design‑to‑Cost principles and project budgeting.
• Effective communication with internal teams and external customers.
