Security Analyst – Threat Detection (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the role

Google is looking for a bilingual Security Analyst to join its Threat Detection team. You will help protect Google’s network boundaries, harden systems against attacks, and safeguard highly sensitive data for users and developers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate anomalous activity through manual hunting at large scale.
• Escalate unusual incidents to Detection and Response teams.
• Lead response efforts for low‑severity incidents and support higher‑severity incidents as directed.
• Examine security alerts from SIEM platforms and other external sources.
• Collaborate with client relationship teams in English and Spanish.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in cyber security or threat analysis.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in incident analysis, malware research, SOC, or similar incident response.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Mexican citizenship (required by law).
• Willingness to work non‑standard hours, including night shifts.

Required skills

• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Malware research and analysis.
• Incident analysis and response.
• Working knowledge of SOC operations.
• Scripting or coding for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
