Senior Auditor – Markets

About the role

The Senior Auditor – Markets will lead moderately complex audits of the risk and control environment within the financial markets area. Working closely with the internal audit team, you will apply subject‑matter expertise to assess emerging risks, improve audit processes and support Citi’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute moderately complex audits, draft audit reports and present findings to business stakeholders.
• Complete audits within agreed timeframes and budgets while monitoring costs.
• Identify, assess and recommend solutions for emerging risks.
• Contribute to audit process improvements, including the development of automated routines.
• Apply internal audit standards, policies and regulations to provide timely assurance.
• Build effective relationships with line management to ensure a strong understanding of business operations.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of relevant audit or control experience, preferably in the financial sector.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with internal audit, second‑line of defense, and financial markets (fixed income, FX, derivatives).
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and maintain objectivity.
