Senior Manager, Controllership & Treasury

About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Controllership, you will hold primary decision-making responsibility for the reliability, integrity, and compliance of all accounting and treasury activities for Grainger Mexico. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and safeguarding company assets within a complex international environment.

Main Missions

• Financial Integrity: Ensure all financial results are accurate, complete, and compliant with local legal requirements, Mexican external audit standards, and corporate policies.
• Controllership & Treasury Management: Act as both Controller and Treasurer, managing liquidity, enforcing payment discipline, and overseeing accounting estimates, provisions, and judgments.
• Financial Reporting & Closing: Supervise the monthly financial closing process and provide reliable data for senior management decision-making.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal partners (GMEX, COE, Global Controllership, Corporate Treasury) and external entities (auditors, banks, regulators).
• Treasury Leadership: Direct treasury functions including cash management, daily investments, and foreign exchange (FX) risk management, while overseeing shared services in Panama.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior management on complex transactions and technical accounting issues, and represent the company in banking and supplier negotiations.

Profile Required

• Proven experience in a senior controllership or finance management role, preferably in a multinational setting.
• Strong expertise in Mexican accounting standards, local tax/legal compliance, and international audit requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage both technical accounting and strategic treasury functions.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing indirect teams or shared service models.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle complex financial judgments.
