Site Architect – Luxury Hospitality Projects

About the role

Utopia Design is looking for a seasoned Site Architect to lead technical design and on‑site supervision for boutique hospitality and low‑rise residential projects in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. You will translate design intent into buildable Revit models, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure quality throughout construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate technical architectural design from RIBA Stage 3 through construction.
• Create detailed Revit models and construction documentation.
• Integrate architecture with structural, MEP, and interior designs using BIM tools (Navisworks).
• Provide on‑site architectural supervision, quality control, and day‑to‑day problem solving.
• Review and approve minor design deviations and support inspection and acceptance of works.
• Assist with tender and construction documentation as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of architectural design experience, preferably in hospitality and low‑rise residential projects.
• Strong technical and construction understanding.
• Professional level of English.
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant project work.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with Navisworks (BIM coordination).
• Strong AutoCAD skills.
• Knowledge of Rhino (plus).
