Site Manager – Plant Operations (Juarez, Mexico)

About the role

International Paper is seeking a Site Manager to lead its Juarez, Mexico plant while also supporting a remote location in Chihuahua. The role focuses on safety, cost control, machine uptime, quality, waste reduction, and overall process reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee plant performance across safety, cost, uptime, quality, waste, and reliability.
• Coordinate site initiatives with the Complex General Manager, Chihuahua CIM, and other facilities to meet quality, volume, and delivery targets.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term plans to become a low‑cost, preferred supplier.
• Manage direct reports in safety, finance, quality, customer service, production, shipping, and maintenance.
• Build and maintain effective teams and organizational structures to drive performance and satisfaction.
• Manage plant assets in alignment with strategic plans.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time, primarily to Chihuahua, sister plants, and customers.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of production management experience, preferably in the corrugated or paper industry.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Strong safety mindset, ethics, and ability to work in a multinational environment.
• Willingness to travel to the United States or obtain a passport within six months of hire.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including corrugating and converting equipment.
