About the role
Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide remote assistance to users of one of its major clients. The role focuses on ensuring smooth desktop operations, minimizing downtime, and enhancing overall productivity.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver expert remote desktop support and promptly resolve technical issues.
- Log and track all support requests for accurate reporting.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential disruptions.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve hardware and software problems.
- Develop and deliver user training sessions to reduce support volume.
- Document support processes and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of desktop support principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with remote support tools and technologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with users and team members.
