Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator is the primary day‑to‑day contact for transportation providers and internal support teams, ensuring smooth transactional operations at the plant level. Working Monday to Friday, this role supports ProTrans objectives by identifying, analyzing, and developing supply‑chain solutions that enhance the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with TL carriers to confirm pickups, deliveries, and handle exceptions using ProTrans’ TMS system.
• Facilitate border‑crossing operations with the Border Crossing team and inform customers of customs deviations.
• Arrange expedited shipments and coordinate with ProTrans’ Expedite team.
• Resolve daily operational issues for customer plants and escalate service‑level concerns to the Operations Manager.
• Distribute performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and communicate holiday schedules or internal adjustments.
• Collaborate with the Account Receivable team to ensure timely billing.
• Manage logistics plans for 3PL accounts, submit changes, enter bid requests, and handle unplanned requests.

Required profile

• Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities to resolve complex supply‑chain issues.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to act as a key point‑of‑contact between ProTrans and customers.
• Knowledge of Customs and C‑TPAT regulations and ability to remain compliant.
• Adaptability to rapidly changing logistics circumstances.
• Effective time‑management skills for handling multiple tasks and projects.

Required skills

• ProTrans TMS (Transportation Management System) proficiency.
