Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for transportation providers and internal teams, ensuring smooth transactional flow across customer plants. Working Monday to Friday, the role supports ProTrans’ objectives by identifying improvement opportunities and delivering a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with TL carriers to confirm pickups, deliveries, and handle exceptions using ProTrans’ TMS.
• Coordinate border‑crossing operations with the Border Crossing team and inform customers of customs deviations.
• Arrange expedited shipments and liaise with ProTrans’ Expedite team.
• Resolve daily operational issues for customer plants and escalate service‑level concerns to the Operations Manager.
• Distribute performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and communicate holiday schedules or internal adjustments.
• Work with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure timely billing.
• Manage logistics plans for 3PL accounts, submit changes, enter bid requests, and handle unplanned requests.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of logistics or supply‑chain experience, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation or a related field.
• Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities to address complex supply‑chain issues.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to interact with multiple management levels.
• Knowledge of Customs and C‑TPAT regulations and ability to adapt to changing logistics circumstances.
• Effective time‑management skills for handling multiple concurrent tasks.
