SAP BTP & AI Architect

About the role

We are seeking experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) architects to integrate generative and agentic AI into SAP enterprise landscapes. The role focuses on moving AI solutions from proof‑of‑concept to production while supporting clean‑core strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure generative and agentic AI architectures and reference models.
• Guide PoCs, ensure compliance with security and data‑governance standards.
• Develop AI‑driven extensions using SAP CAP, Python, or Node.js and embed AI into Fiori apps and S/4HANA.
• Perform prompt engineering, model training, and build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation pipelines with SAP AI Core.
• Advise clients on AI unit consumption, licensing, and activation of AI features such as Joule.
• Integrate SAP and non‑SAP systems using AI‑enabled tools like SAP Event Mesh and GenAI Hub.
• Maintain clean‑core extensibility by creating side‑by‑side applications on BTP.
• Utilize HANA Cloud Vector Engine for vector storage and corporate data enrichment.

Required profile

• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• SAP BTP Cockpit, Kyma Runtime, Cloud Foundry.
• SAP BTP security (XSUAA, IAS).
• LLM frameworks such as LangChain, prompt engineering, GenAI Hub.
• Programming: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java.
• SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) and RAP (Restful ABAP Programming).
• SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, Joule Generative AI, HANA Cloud Vector Engine.
• SAP S/4HANA data models, SAP Fiori/UI5, API Management.
• LLMOps/MLOps, model monitoring, Responsible AI practices.
