Security Lead – Mexico

About the role

The Security Lead for Mexico is responsible for protecting Bayer’s people, operations, assets, and reputation across the country. This senior position drives the implementation of corporate security standards, leads risk‑mitigation strategies, manages incidents and investigations, and coordinates closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the security strategy for Mexico in alignment with global and regional frameworks.
• Conduct regular country risk assessments and translate global policies into local procedures.
• Ensure employee safety, workplace security, transportation and travel security, supply‑chain protection, and physical site security.
• Oversee security services and vendors, including guarding, monitoring, and transport security, while ensuring compliance with corporate standards and local regulations.
• Lead crisis preparedness and response, coordinating rapid actions and communication during high‑risk events.
• Collect and analyse security intelligence on criminal, activist, and geopolitical risks, providing actionable insights.
• Serve as primary liaison with law‑enforcement, authorities, and security networks, representing Bayer in industry forums.
• Partner with regional leadership, business units, HR, Legal, Compliance, and Communications to align security priorities.

• Act as the focal point for security governance, risk management, crisis response, and investigations.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and external authorities to ensure coordinated security efforts.
