Senior Lawyer

About the role

Daimler Financial Services Mexico is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join its Legal team. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with financial regulations, antitrust laws, data protection, and cybersecurity across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor applicable financial and regulatory laws and provide proactive legal recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Manage regulatory procedures through external counsel, including matters with PROFECO, CONDUSEF, ARCO rights, and judicial authorities.
• Oversee litigation and compliance‑related disputes.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to financial regulatory authorities and maintain efficient information flows.
• Partner with the Legal Manager to advise on strategic projects and business decisions.
• Identify and implement process improvements within legal operations and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Spanish native speaker and advanced English (approximately 90%).
• Strong attention to detail, customer focus, teamwork, creativity, and analytical thinking.

Required skills

• Mexican financial regulatory framework.
• Antitrust/competition law.
• Data protection laws in Mexico (basic knowledge of EU regulations).
• Microsoft Office.
