Senior Tax Specialist – Tax Compliance & Planning

About the role

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to lead income tax compliance, reporting, and strategic planning across its global operations. The role ensures adherence to local and international tax regulations while optimizing the company’s financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax payments on time to avoid penalties.
• Monitor tax offsets, credits, and profit coefficient calculations for optimal tax positioning.
• Execute tax planning directives from the Tax Department and prepare working papers for annual income tax returns.
• Validate deductible items against tax law requirements.
• Coordinate salary tax calculations and conduct random tests for correct withholding.
• Review monthly VAT payments, ensuring accurate collection, credit, and import VAT handling.
• Support external auditors and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Plan provisional payments to avoid unnecessary early tax settlements.
• Assist in VAT refund processes and corporate restructuring initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in income tax compliance, reporting, and strategic tax planning.
• Strong knowledge of local and international tax regulations.
• Ability to manage financial records and work with ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
