Senior Accounting, Tax & Compliance Specialist

About the role

This senior position is responsible for the preparation of journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and the analysis of financial statements in line with local GAAP. The role ensures timely tax compliance and accurate reporting to both local management and corporate headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and produce financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve sub‑ledger variances and reconciling items.
• Lead month‑end close activities and generate supplemental financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with local governmental regulations and tax filing requirements.
• Record transactions in the local ERP system and maintain electronic trial balances.
• Support transfer‑price transactions and the physical inventory process for materials, fixed assets and cost of sales.
• Assist internal and external audits and provide required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in general accounting, financial statement preparation and tax compliance.
• Proven experience in multinational environments with strict monthly and annual close processes.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP, tax regulations, payroll, social security and international trade compliance.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
