Coordinador de Mantenimiento

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator will ensure the availability, reliability and safety of facilities, equipment and services within Volvo Buses' operations in Mexico. The role focuses on strategic maintenance management to optimise asset performance, control costs and guarantee operational continuity for internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational continuity by responding promptly to contingencies and emergencies.
• Ensure optimal operating conditions and safety for machinery, equipment and infrastructure.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, prioritising business needs.
• Manage maintenance KPIs, records and overall area performance.
• Optimise use of materials, spare parts and services in line with budget constraints.
• Coordinate external suppliers to deliver efficient, high‑quality maintenance services.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Guarantee compliance with safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Oversee management systems compliance (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Implement corrective actions, ensuring root‑cause analysis and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance (equipment, machinery, facilities/real‑estate).
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
