Promotional Regulatory Affairs Specialist – LATAM

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Promotional Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support its LATAM Quality & Regulatory Affairs team. Based in Mexico City, you will manage the review process for promotional and advertising assets across Latin America, ensuring compliance with approved labels, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects for LATAM promotional and advertising assets, routing documents through the global review process.
• Review marketing, medical, and scientific materials for LATAM launches to identify compliance risks such as unsupported claims or off‑label promotion.
• Lead MAP meetings and collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Franchise, and Commercial stakeholders.
• Support Brazil‑related asset review by applying written Portuguese comprehension.
• Drive adoption and continuous improvement of LATAM promotional review workflows while maintaining SOP and GxP compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacy, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in regulatory affairs, promotional/advertising review, compliance operations, or related Life Sciences environment.
• Knowledge of LATAM regulatory market requirements; experience with Brazil assets is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish, advanced English, and sufficient Portuguese to review written documents.
• Strong attention to detail, regulatory judgment, and stakeholder management.

Required skills

• Experience with Veeva, PromoMats, MAP, and MLR workflows.
• Familiarity with SOPs and GxP expectations.
• Project management and quality/process improvement capabilities.
