Automation Engineer – Industrialization of Wire Harnesses

About the role

Versigent is looking for an Automation Engineer to support the industrialization of automated wire harnesses. You will analyze product design constraints, run manufacturing concept simulations, and guide the integration of automation technologies into production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze product design pre‑conditions and constraints for wire‑harness automation.
• Create MSD manufacturing simulations, labor distribution studies, and equipment‑utilization calculations.
• Define and evaluate process and automation technologies, identifying introduction possibilities and limitations.
• Provide technical guidance to industrial and product‑engineering technicians.
• Support project development and quote teams with business‑case analyses.
• Collaborate with product development teams to embed automation solutions in design reviews and gate reviews.
• Maintain and upgrade automation principles for LV & HV on BOD/BOP and the automation handbook.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or product engineering for wiring‑harness production.
• Strong knowledge of harness manufacturing processes, methods and industrialization.
• Ability to perform labor distribution, equipment utilization and capacity calculations.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) and proficient with office tools.
• Willingness to travel as required.
