AWS Level 2/2.5 Cloud Engineer

About the role

Infosys is seeking an AWS Level 2/2.5 Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions for its clients in Mexico. The role provides Level 2 technical support, monitors cloud environments, and collaborates with engineering teams to ensure optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud solutions to meet client requirements.
• Provide Level 2 technical support, including incident management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for AWS services.
• Monitor cloud environments using tools such as AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail to ensure performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to escalate unresolved issues and share best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation for supported applications.
• Conduct regular reviews of cloud resource utilization and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support and incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS services.
• Experience providing Level 2 technical support with strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non‑technical users.

Required skills

• AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and Lambda.
• Java (Core Java) programming.
• Cloud monitoring tools, specifically AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
