Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to own service health monitoring, deployment promotions, and issue resolution across CI/CD and Kubernetes ecosystems. The role focuses on overseeing applications, running Azure DevOps release pipelines, troubleshooting deployments, and ensuring smooth rollouts in production and non‑production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Track application and service health through ArgoCD and Grafana.
• Run and oversee service promotions via Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Verify deployments and assist with rollback or recovery efforts.
• Investigate pipeline, Kubernetes, and deployment‑related breakdowns.
• Diagnose problems using K9s, kubectl, ArgoCD, logs, and events.
• Coordinate with development, QA, and release groups throughout deployment activities.
• Communicate deployment outcomes, issues, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Maintain release documentation and operational tracking up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 1 year of experience leading development teams.
• Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure during rollouts or incidents.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude with strong ownership.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication (B2+ level).
