About the role
A leading metal‑mechanic company in the automotive sector is seeking a strategic Plant Manager to drive revenue growth, strengthen the project pipeline, and optimize gross margins. The role oversees all daily manufacturing functions—including production, maintenance, quality, warehouse, logistics, and planning—while developing policies that boost productivity and align operations with corporate growth objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily manufacturing operations to exceed customer expectations for delivery, quality, and cost.
- Increase production output, asset capacity, and operational flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs.
- Achieve plant KPIs through strategic planning, execution, and continuous monitoring.
- Ensure accountability for production volumes, product quality, and on‑time shipping.
- Promote a continuous‑improvement culture using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Allocate resources efficiently and maximize asset utilization for optimal financial results.
- Identify key customer segments and develop go‑to‑market strategies to grow sales and market share.
- Analyze product gaps and coordinate resources to maximize revenue potential of the portfolio.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and profit growth targets.
- Develop systems to track productivity, performance metrics, and return on assets.
- Stay current with advanced manufacturing concepts, industry trends, and best practices.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Plant Manager or senior operational leader in the automotive sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electromechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field.
- Advanced, fluent English (written and spoken) for corporate alignment and reporting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes or metal component fabrication.
- Proven implementation of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management standards.
- Advanced expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and automotive core tools (FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC).
- Strong experience in P&L management and corporate budgeting.
