Quality Engineer II – QA Software Engineer

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Quality Engineer II to help build high‑quality, scalable payment solutions. You will work in a modern, agile, micro‑services environment, collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in sprint planning and contribute to test case design and execution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Karate, or Rest Assured.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and test environments.
• Execute functional, regression, and API tests to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Support performance and resilience testing using tools like JMeter.
• Contribute to BDD/TDD practices and help maintain quality gates using tools like SonarQube.
• Document test results, defects, and provide feedback to improve product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in software testing or test automation.
• Familiarity with Agile development and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills; fluent English.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in quality engineering.
