Senior DevOps Lead

About the role

Worldly is seeking a hands‑on Senior DevOps Lead to own its cloud infrastructure and guide the transition from an external‑only DevOps model to a hybrid internal‑external team. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will split your time between strategic planning, team leadership, and direct implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement AWS infrastructure using Terraform and best practices.
• Take ownership of the existing external DevOps team, stabilise operations and define internal processes.
• Define project scopes, break down initiatives and guide a team of 9 contractors.
• Advance IaC practices, ensure consistency, security, compliance and cost optimisation.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and monitoring/alerting systems.
• Collaborate with engineering squads to meet application performance goals.
• Develop a roadmap for scaling infrastructure and supporting new product features.
• Mentor contractors, elevating overall team capability.

Required profile

• 10+ years of DevOps/SRE experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong background in Linux/*nix system operations and network engineering.
• Proven ability to lead remote, multi‑skill teams and drive operational excellence.
