Software Engineer – Torreon

About the role

John Deere is looking for a Software Engineer to join its technology team in Torreon. You will work in an Agile, cross‑functional environment to design, develop, and deliver high‑quality software that supports manufacturing and farm equipment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, operations, and support teams to gather requirements and deliver effective software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain web‑based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of mission‑critical applications on the shop floor.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for knowledge sharing and long‑term maintainability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably in web or enterprise environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting.
• Up‑to‑date tax situation certificate (Constancia de Situación Fiscal) as required for hiring in Mexico.
