Accountant – Financial Reporting & Asset Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial reporting for multiple U.S. entities, oversee asset inventories, and ensure compliance with US and local GAAP. The role involves close collaboration with finance, tax, treasury, and audit teams.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and approve financial statements for nine U.S. entities (12 HFM entities) and monitor them throughout the year.
• Perform annual fixed‑asset inventory and manage monthly capitalizations and accruals.
• Monitor off‑site tooling and oversee intercompany transactions, including royalties, AR, AP, and other items.
• Close books in line with Garrett Advancing Motion accounting policies and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Approve payments in Salesforce, attaching proper support and approvals.
• Generate and reconcile bank accounts in partnership with the finance team.
• Manage internal and external audit requirements, serving as a key contact for stakeholders.
• Coordinate corporate requirements across transfer pricing, consolidation, treasury, tax, and SOX teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accepted accounting principles.
• Experience with finance systems and ability to balance short‑term tactical and long‑term strategic priorities.
