Corporate Affairs Intern

About the role

The Corporate Affairs Intern will support CEMEX’s Corporate Affairs team by monitoring and analysing international political, economic and regulatory developments, with a focus on North‑America. The role provides hands‑on experience in strategic intelligence, policy research and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex political and economic developments in a fast‑paced regional environment.
• Monitor and synthesize large volumes of information from government, media, industry and policy sources.
• Translate technical or highly political information into concise executive‑level briefing materials.
• Support cross‑functional projects involving private‑sector stakeholders, public institutions and international organisations.
• Strengthen data analysis and visualisation capabilities for policy and economic reporting.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the 7th to 10th semester of International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, International Business or related fields.
• Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken) and strong communication skills in Spanish.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and research abilities with high attention to detail.
• Interest in North‑American affairs, international trade, public policy and government relations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team.

What we offer

• 6‑month fixed‑term internship (renewable) based in the San Antonio offices, Mexico City.
