Legal Counsel

About the role

Milestone Systems, a global leader in video surveillance management software, is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its Mexico City regional headquarters. The role supports legal operations across Latin America, working closely with U.S. and global legal teams to protect the company’s interests in a fast‑moving technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for LATAM legal and contract matters, leading negotiations, compliance, and interpretation of commercial agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate software licensing, SaaS, NDA, professional services, sales agent, marketing, sponsorship, and vendor contracts.
• Support compliance with data‑protection, privacy, employment, industry regulations, facial‑recognition and AI legal requirements.
• Identify legal risks and propose pragmatic mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with external counsel on corporate filings, board resolutions, and corporate record maintenance.
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Partner with internal teams such as Sales, Business Support, and People & Culture to provide cross‑functional legal guidance.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interest in technology and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hybrid work environment.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.
• Resilient, adaptable, and proactive in building relationships and addressing challenges.
