Director of Investment Operations

About the role

Carbon Real Estate Investments is seeking a Director of Investment Operations to design and scale the operational systems that will support a multifamily portfolio aimed at housing 10,000 families. This full‑time remote position reports to senior leadership and works across acquisitions, asset management, and investor relations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement standardized operating procedures for all investment deals, regardless of structure.
• Lead the EOS‑based weekly Level 10 meetings and ensure consistent cadence across underwriting, investment committee pre‑reads, asset management, and reporting.
• Unify the split operational layer of the investments function, reducing manual oversight and improving efficiency.
• Collaborate with on‑shore and offshore teams to maintain high‑integrity data for lenders, limited partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Support the company’s goal of scaling to 10,000 families by optimizing processes that drive sustainable cash flow.

Required profile

• Proven experience in real‑estate underwriting, risk assessment, portfolio analysis, and investor relations.
• Strong familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOP) and the ability to enforce them across diverse deal structures.
• Conversational English and the ability to work effectively with a remote, multicultural team.
