IT Java Architect – Mexico City

About the role

The IT Java Architect will lead the design and delivery of high‑throughput, low‑latency Java services for Infosys Mexico. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to solve complex, service‑wide problems.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex, cross‑service problems and facilitate team interactions to drive resolution.
• Write, review, and enhance Java/JavaScript code, promoting secure coding standards and best‑practice development processes.
• Design and implement high‑performance services meeting business requirements with a focus on scalability.
• Prioritize work with product partners and build roadmaps for service enhancements.
• Automate software delivery, champion blameless post‑mortems, and introduce new technologies following enterprise guidelines.
• Provide architectural guidance, mentor team members, and foster knowledge sharing across the organization.

Required profile

• Proven ability to write secure Java and JavaScript code and familiarity with OWASP, CWE, and SEI CERT standards.
• Experience building applications with open frameworks such as Spring Boot, Steeltoe, Angular, or DXP.
• Strong debugging skills, including analysis of core, heap, and thread dumps.
• Ability to document and coach teams on development practices, code reviews, logging, and test‑driven development.
• Deep understanding of advanced design patterns (e.g., service‑to‑worker, MVC, API gateway, dependency injection, lazy loading).
