About the role
The Retail Boutique Assistant will deliver a personalized, high‑end shopping experience for guests at Amanvari, a luxury retreat in Mexico. You will combine customer service, point‑of‑sale operations and inventory management to uphold the boutique’s premium standards.
Key responsibilities
- Provide courteous, knowledgeable assistance to guests and advise on purchases.
- Maintain immaculate presentation of the boutique, including visual merchandising and product displays.
- Conduct monthly inventories, cash‑register reconciliations and generate reports in line with company guidelines.
- Verify incoming merchandise, tag items correctly and create inventory codes in the system.
- Select suppliers and products, ensuring quality, profitability and alignment with the hotel’s brand.
- Identify process improvements and report them to streamline operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar retail role, preferably within luxury hotels.
- Knowledge of regional suppliers and contacts with renowned artisans.
- Understanding of marketing and retail strategy.
Required skills
- Point‑of‑sale (POS) system operation.
- Inventory management and control.
- Cash register reconciliation.
- Visual merchandising and space optimization.
