Senior Project Manager - Generative AI Data Operations

About the role

Welo Data is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multi‑project portfolios that deliver and scale generative AI data operations. You will oversee end‑to‑end delivery of collection, labeling, and evaluation projects, ensuring consistent quality and efficient execution across global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and run a portfolio of AI data projects, coordinating milestones and handoffs across time zones.
• Conduct regular governance cadences, providing status, risk, and executive updates while aligning scope and budget with stakeholders.
• Forecast and secure rater/annotator capacity, balancing shifts, throughput, and skill sets across vendors and internal teams.
• Partner with the Senior Quality Analyst to define acceptance criteria, perform audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Identify manual processes, pilot automation solutions (templates, scripts, RPA, API‑driven flows) and scale successful tools.
• Set vendor expectations, SLAs, and playbooks; monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Build and track budgets, burn rates, and margins; manage change orders to protect financial outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑vendor AI or data‑centric projects at a senior level.
• Strong analytical and risk‑management capabilities with a focus on quality consistency.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional and executive stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones and cultures.
