About the role

Deel is looking for a hands‑on Back‑End Engineer to build and improve AI‑powered systems that power its global go‑to‑market engine. You will work across the product lifecycle, from discovery to deployment, delivering robust features and APIs that scale with millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and solve high‑impact technical and product challenges.
• Design, code, and ship scalable back‑end applications using Node.js.
• Ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and performant under real‑world load.
• Lead execution through collaboration with cross‑functional teams, not just individual contribution.
• Partner with go‑to‑market teams to align technical work with business outcomes.
• Monitor, maintain, and iterate on live workflows and AI‑driven processes.
