Tax Manager – Payroll Tax & Compliance (Remote)

About the role

Insight Global is looking for a Payroll Tax Manager to lead LATAM payroll tax and statutory compliance for a large HCM client. This fully remote, permanent position combines tax law expertise with technology innovation, driving AI‑enabled compliance and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor payroll tax, statutory and regulatory changes across LATAM jurisdictions and assess impact on payroll products.
• Translate legislative updates into clear, actionable requirements for Product and Engineering teams.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Compliance and Product, ensuring timely implementation of changes.
• Lead process‑improvement, automation and AI initiatives to reduce manual effort and increase consistency.
• Provide day‑to‑day team support, including coverage, onboarding and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• 5+ years of experience in payroll tax, statutory compliance or related HCM/payroll environments.
• Proven people‑leadership experience managing senior subject‑matter experts.
• Strong experience collaborating with Product or Technology teams.
• Deep understanding of AI applications in compliance and regulatory monitoring.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑changing, software‑driven environment.
