Technical Construction Expert – Mexico

About the role

The Technical Construction Expert – Mexico provides senior‑level technical expertise for construction activities supporting the WIFA project and cross‑border infrastructure interfaces. The role ensures that construction methodologies, sequencing and execution strategies comply with engineering requirements, regulatory conditions and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead constructability reviews, execution strategies and construction methodologies for Mexico‑based scopes.
• Review designs, specifications, sequencing plans and work packages to guarantee efficient, compliant construction solutions.
• Support field teams by resolving technical issues, RFIs, design clarifications and installation challenges.
• Coordinate cross‑border and regulatory requirements, aligning construction activities with permitting, environmental and legal obligations.
• Promote quality, safety and performance by supporting QA/QC reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in large‑scale infrastructure, water or industrial construction projects.
• Strong background supporting construction activities in Mexico.
• Experience with conveyance systems, pumping stations, treatment facilities or cross‑border infrastructure (preferred).
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong technical, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
