Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

The Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant will join the Business Support Operations (BSO) team, providing AP support primarily for the Americas and globally. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the LEGO Group to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices and incoming payments in line with LEGO financial policies.
• Verify, classify and record accounts payable transactions.
• Reconcile the AP ledger, vendor accounts and monthly statements.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Send payment reminders and communicate with vendors to facilitate timely payments.
• Generate regular reports on AP status and support month‑end closing activities.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary accounting software.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in Procure‑to‑Pay or accounts payable functions.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Fluent English (reading, writing and speaking).

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (or equivalent spreadsheet tools).
• SAP or other ERP systems.
• Data‑entry and basic bookkeeping principles.
