Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Operations Specialist to manage and improve our end‑to‑end AR processes. The role focuses on collections, accurate payment application, and identifying improvement opportunities to boost cash flow and reporting precision.

Key responsibilities

• Review AR aging reports and perform invoice, payment, and credit reconciliations.
• Reconcile and process incoming payments from Cash App, PayPal, Venmo and resolve discrepancies using transaction histories and digital‑wallet dispute workflows.
• Oversee daily payment application, ensuring timely and accurate postings; troubleshoot related issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Collections, and Accounting to resolve billing and payment discrepancies, including chargebacks, short payments, and overpayments.
• Upload payment documentation (check deposits, smart safe receipts, ACH remittance) to internal systems.
• Support bi‑weekly bank reconciliations for AR entries and assist external audits.
• Manage consignment account reconciliations and ensure contractual alignment.
• Process account adjustments, write‑offs, and credit memos per policy.
• Conduct weekly quality reviews of payment applications and generate AR aging reports highlighting digital‑payment trends.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce aged receivables.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable operations or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of AR processes, payment application, and reconciliation.
• Experience with digital‑wallet payments (Cash App, PayPal, Venmo) is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with internal controls and audit practices.
